What’s love go to do with it?

What’s love go to do with it?

Tina Turner’s iconic ballad “What’s Love Got to Do With It” became one of her biggest hits and is still one of the first songs that come to mind when thinking of Turner.

The meaning behind “What’s Love Got to Do With It” is relatively simple according to Tina: With her iconic belt at the forefront, Turner sings about the growing attraction between two lovers. The song, written by Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, takes the opposite approach to many other love songs, which often concern themselves with enduring relationships.

Instead, Turner tells her lover that it’s purely sexual chemistry she is after.

The lyrics go:

It’s physical

Only Logical

You must try to ignore that it means more than that

What’s love got to do, got to do with it?

What’s love but a second hand emotion?

What’s love got to do, got to do with it?

Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?

This begs the question: what’s love got to with sex and orgasm? Well this is more complicated a question that can be answered in this blog post! But it certainly gets you thinking. What’s our opinion? Clearly there can be many answers here.  Love is not just something we feel but something we do. It requires action. And we think this is exactly true of good sex and orgasm.

Our culture often paints a rosy picture of relationships, love and sex. You meet that perfect someone who gives meaning to your life and that you are always attracted to and you are madly in love. Wrong. So wrong. If you believe there is such a thing as a great relationship without work, issues, or problems, then you are quickly headed for disappointment. And the same goes for a great sex life.

Love is the active display of commitment to someone. To want to commit to someone. And as such, so is a good sex with your partner. Whether its lingerie, the right music, the right smells, the right supplements, and taking time to make it happen. Love and great sex might not always be intertwined, but great sex with the person you love takes continual work and engagement.

We, of course, recommend taking the OMG formula on a regular basis

Peace, love, and great sex to all.
